Does a WARDOGS HWID spoofer change anything about account bans?
Closed thread Closed by archiveSeeing the term HWID spoofer come up in discussions about WARDOGS.
I understand the basic idea is changing or masking a hardware identifier, but people seem to talk about it like it's some guaranteed way to avoid account bans.
Is that actually how it works?
I'm more interested in understanding what the term means and what it doesn't mean. A hardware identifier and a game account aren't the same thing, right?

Also, changing an identifier doesn't mean a game has to let you back in. Enforcement can involve other information and account-level actions.
The word "guaranteed" is doing a lot of work in those sales pitches lol.
I'd be careful with anything that asks you to modify system-level settings without explaining what it's doing.
OP here. That clears it up. People were mixing up hardware identification and account enforcement as if they're identical.
