WARDOGS Banned? What the Ban Means and What You Can Do
A ban message is not always the end. This guide explains the common ban types in WARDOGS, how appeals work in practice, and what to avoid doing next.
Getting banned is frustrating, and the next steps depend on what kind of ban you actually have. Start by reading the message carefully, since that tells you more than any forum thread.
The common ban types
Temporary restriction. Short bans or matchmaking limits. These usually expire on their own.
Account ban. Tied to your Steam account and your WARDOGS ownership. Creating a new account means buying the game again, and that is a real cost at the $39.99 Early Access price.
Hardware ban. Linked to identifiers on your PC. Starting a fresh account on the same machine can fail or lead to a fast second ban.
If the message is vague, you will not always know which one you have. Do not guess.
What to do first
- Read the exact ban message and note the date.
- Check the official WARDOGS support and Steam support channels for the correct appeal route.
- Stop launching the game and any third party tools on that machine until you know what is going on.
About appeals
Appeals are not guaranteed, and a developer working with anti-cheat providers has little reason to reverse a ban for confirmed cheating. If you believe the ban is a mistake, for example from a software conflict, document what was installed and explain it plainly.
Be careful with fresh accounts
Bulkhead's playtest privacy notice mentions detecting multiple account behavior. Rapidly creating new accounts on the same PC is likely to make the situation worse.
Tools people look at
Two products on this site come up in this situation:
UGC Account Recovery is described on its page as an account recovery workspace. It is built to help you create appeal workflows and manage restriction disputes across platforms. It does not promise a result, and an appeal still depends on the platform's decision.
The HWID Spoofer (2) addresses hardware identifiers. Read the HWID spoofer guide and requirements on the product page before you buy.
Plans for UGC on the product page are 1 week at $15, 1 month at $35 and lifetime at $150.
If you plan to keep playing
Ask yourself whether the risk fits your situation. If you do continue, check status after patches and keep your setup conservative. The FAQ (3) and support (4) are there for any questions on how our products work.
